Vineyard Operations Manager
We are a family owned business producing ultra-premium wines from 200 acres of prime vineyard land located in Canada’s South Okanagan wine region. We are now hiring a Vineyard Operations Manager for the 2014 season.
Duties: Managing equipment and a small team of drivers and operators to execute a range of equipment related tasks directed by our Vineyard Manager.
Responsibilities: Executing ongoing and preventative maintenance, scheduling and monitoring large scale equipment repair, troubleshooting issues, scheduling and transporting equipment between farms, overseeing and personally executing equipment related applications, tracking and forecasting inventory requirements, managing our health and safety program around equipment related operations, having an ownership mentality, being vigilant, organized and prepared.
Qualifications: Agriculture diploma, or related education and/or a strong traceable work history working in teams, maintaining and operating a diverse range of farm equipment. Vineyard experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Farm spray certificates and First Aid Level 1 will be required but can be acquired on the job. Staff accommodation is available to assist with transitioning to the area.

front of house. Previous experience in a casual
fine dining environment is an asset. A positive
attitude and the ability to work well in a team
environment is essential. Positions will run from
May through to October.
